It’s been a year and a half since my 5th album, “Senses” was released. I’m excited to share 11 brand-new songs with the educators, families and therapists who follow my work in educational children’s music:
My 6th album, “I Am A Tree” is now available!
For now, “I Am A Tree” is not available on any of the platforms where you will find my other 5 albums. It is EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE for download THROUGH MY WEBSITE.
Question: Why isn’t this album available on Spotify, Amazon or other platforms yet?
Answer: These platforms, while convenient, take a considerable chunk out of artists’ every sale/download. “I Am A Tree” is ONLY available through my website. When you purchase directly from ME, you’re not only supporting my work, you’re ensuring I can continue to produce future albums with more of the songs I have created for you to use in your family life/programming. Thank you!

TAKE ME TO THE CLIPS
Just like all of my other albums of music for educators and families, “I Am A Tree” has songs for babies, toddlers and “big kids” to enjoy and learn from…songs that stimulate growth, encourage patience, resilience and promote an understanding of how the world works as children figure out their place within it.
BABY/TODDLER SONGS:
Whether you’re leading a parent and tot class or following along with one little one, “In And Out” is a song that I recommend you use facing your baby. The directions will guide you through this easy song.
Move your faces close to each other and pull away as you follow the lyrics “In, in, in and out, out, out”. Then “turn about, sway and sway about and bounce, bounce bounce about” as the speed of the song increases slightly. This is the perfect song for singing in front of a mirror! Lots of language and facial recognition in this song…and babies love it!
Toddlers love banging things together and making sounds. “Tap Two Together” is a parts-of-the-body recognition song as well as a percussive music experience. You can “tap two together on your head, chest, hip and then put them in your lap” in this song. The vocabulary used in this song also promotes an understanding of rhyming and anticipation of language: “I can tap two together, tap top ted…and I can take two together and tap, tap, tap them on my head“.
PRESCHOOL SONGS:
Action songs like “Popcorn”, “Spin Around”, “These Are My Fingers”, “Tap, Clap, Bump, Jump” and “Let’s Make a Sound” will provide for fun, exercise-packed group activities for early learning group leaders and fun “anytime songs” you can sing with preschool (and older) children. They may sound simple, but the actions are at a challenging level, whether you’re following along physically or mentally following along.
SONGS FOR OLDER CHILDREN:
Much of the music for educators and families on this album reflect the changes I’m noticing in the evolution of the values we are embracing in education and parenting. Nurturing emotional intelligence/self-regulation, expression and appreciating the important things in life are themes you will notice I’ve weaved into songs like “One Step At A Time”, “Nice Is” and “Saturday Morning”.
I feel it is becoming increasingly important to equip children with the knowledge (and practice) that slowing down, ensuring self-care and approaching our busy world and thoughts “one step at a time” will make for a healthier, more harmonious future for all of us.
PERFORMANCE POEM: “I Am A Tree”
The album’s “anchor song” is actually a poem….but this poem comes with potential for a meaningful, memorable and sweet learning experience for children, early learning leaders and families!
“I Am A Tree” was written specifically for those teachers out there who always ask each other “Does anyone have a good idea of what we can use for a performance this year at Parent Night?”
