When you studied geography, how did you memorize a map?
Did you practise? Test yourself? Are you one of the few fortunate who have a photographic memory? Did you have geography songs to help you?
Geography songs (and videos) can make learning/memorizing maps SO much easier–and a lot of fun, too.
The 7 Continents, 5 Oceans Song,
From “The Seasons”
Teachers are using geography songs and videos more and more in class. Kids from all over the world are commenting on how much they love The 7 Continents, 5 Oceans song and video, and how much it has helped them learn. It’s easy, catchy and memorable. Animation by Brett Lamb.
“The Canada Song” from “Wonderful You”
The Canada Song is just as helpful in teaching kids the 10 provinces and 3 territories that it was chosen as the theme song for the Canadian television series, “The Canada Crew”. Kids all over Canada are learning this song (and across the world, too)! Animation by Brett Lamb.
You’ll also hear “The Canada Song” as the theme song of TVOKids’ popular series, “The Canada Crew”. In this episode, “O Canada”, you’ll even see your friend Nancy appear (4:35) as a special guest, as she teaches Bebe, Mo and Gavin how to sing Canada’s national anthem:
The USA Song, from “Shadow”
This song rocks through all 50 States, and the beautiful animation by Brett Lamb helps us see where each State is located.
Do you know a teacher who you think would want to use these geography songs?
Share this post with them! They will thank you–and their students will, too!
